Filmmakers pulling out an interesting casting coup for the films are the common phenomenon in Bollywood. However, the actors doing justice to the content of the film derives a successful casting of the film.

As reported earlier, Sidharth Malhotra is reuniting with Riteish Deshmukh after Ek Villain for Milap Zaveri's directorial titled Marjaavaan with Tara Sutaria.

Now, as per the latest reports, Rakul Preet Singh has joined the cast of Milap Zaveri's Marjaavaan wherein she will star opposite Sidharth Malhotra. Marjaavaan marks the second film of Rakul Preet Singh with Sidharth Malhotra after Neeraj Pandey's Aiyaary.

"I have known Milap for a while now and had met him when I had began shooting for De De Pyaar De with Ajay sir (co-star Ajay Devgn). When I reached out to him recently, Milap sounded me out on this script and said that we meet for a narration in person. We met and I instantly fell in love with this strong-willed character who wears her heart on her sleeve. You've never seen me in this avatar before and I am really excited about it," said Rakul to a leading tabloid.

Commenting about her bonding with co star Sidharth Malhotra, Rakul said, "We hit it off during Aiyaary. Sid is a friend and I know he has been wanting to do something that is different, commercial and massy for a while. This is that film! In fact, I messaged him after I met the makers and told him I liked both the script and his ‘look' pictures."

Meanwhile, Rakul completed the last leg of the shooting of Luv Ranjan's De De Pyaar De which revolves around the modern definition of love. Talking about it, Rakul said, "It also features Tabu ma'am in an important role along with Ajay sir and it's great to be working with two people who are known to be great performers as it pushes you to give your best."
