Writer, Director and Actor Neeraj Vora who was comatose for over a year passed away, early morning.

Well known Writer, Director and Actor Neeraj Vora passed away early morning 4 am at a hospital in Juhu, Mumbai. The actor was comatose for over a year and was on slow recovery.

Neeraj Vora was known for his notable work in films like Mann, Welcome Back, Bol Bachchan, Satya, Baadshah and many more. He was also a screenwriter and had penned down many films like Hera Pheri, Rangeela, and Chori Chori Chupke Chupke.

He slipped into the state of coma after suffering a fatal combination of a brain stroke and a heart attack on 19th of October 2016. Since then he was residing at his producer-friend Firoz Nadiadwala's place who had converted a room into a makeshift ICU for his ailing friend, wishing for his speedy recovery.


The filmmaker's upcoming film Hera Pheri 3 had been kept on hold amidst hope for his recovery.

The cremation ceremony will take place at 3 pm at Santacruz, Mumbai. Since the breaking of the news, the film industry and his fans are mourning the loss of Neeraj Vora, who was one gem of an artist.

Veteran Actor Paresh Rawal took to Twitter to announce the sad demise of his friend by tweeting - "Neeraj Vora - The writer n director of Phir Hera Pheri n many hit films is no more ...Aum Shanti."

He had no children and his wife had passed away years ago.
