Real life dramas has always inspired the filmmakers to translate it on the big screens, as it has limited scope of bringing innovation in the story. However, translating the real for the reel is significantly challenging for the filmmakers and also the actors who have to enact the real person with the characteristics that resembles the real.

According to the reports in a leading tabloid, Pankaj Tripathi, who shot to fame with Rajkummar-Shraddha's Stree has been roped in to play the male lead in Satish Kaushik's film. The untitled drama marks the return of Satish Kaushik into direction.

Commenting about his involvement in the film, Pankaj said to the leading tabloid, "The story is based on the life of Bharat Lal aka Lal Bihari from Azamgarh, who fought a legal battle for 18 years to prove that he is alive. This film is an incredible journey of a person's transformation from a common man and I can relate to the character."

The actor said that Kaushik is acquainted with his work for many years. Pankaj said, "Both of us are from National School of Drama and come from a similar theatre background. When he called me for the narration, I instantly fell in love with the story."

About playing the male protagonist in the film, he added, "It is a huge responsibility. At the same time, it is more of an opportunity for me to showcase my talent in a better way."

Commenting about playing contrast characters in Shakeela biopic and Satish Kaushik's film, the actor continued, "I didn't get enough time to prepare myself to play Bharat Lal but I gave my best shot."
