Filmmakers root for divergent thinking to make films that accommodate audience's predilections and contemplation about the subject. Reviving films that endured provisional stoppage entails streamlining of the film and its cast that can run in parallel with the masses perceptive about the characterization of the film.

Earlier, it was reported that Amar Kaushik's directorial Chor Nikalke Bhaaga starring John Abraham and Rajkummar Rao has been shelved. However, Amar, who is making his directorial debut with Stree couldn't take off the project as per the schedule. As the film was rumoured to be shelved, Amar Kaushik cleared the air by stating to a leading daily, "It won't be my immediate next. Raj is the only person who has been retained because he liked the story and is keen on doing it. Also, after working with him on Stree, I have become quite comfortable with him."

Reports about Tamannaah Bhatia and John Abraham being roped in for the film were doing the rounds. Commenting about the same, the director stated, "Tamannaah was never offered the film. We had John on board, but he isn't doing the movie anymore. Initially, I had approached John for the main role but when he read the script, he wanted to do the other role (of a cop) and also wanted to produce it. That's when Raj was roped in to play the lead."

The shoot for the film will commence after Rajkummar Rao and Amar Kaushik lock their respective schedules. "I have spoken to a few other producers. We are in talks with Rajkumar Gupta as well. So, let's see how things pan out," he said.

Further deets about the film will be announced soon after other aspects of the film are finalized.
