The phenomenon of remaking films is catching trend in the Indian film market. The filmmakers are cashing on the same to ride on the success of the original. However, it isn't a runaway victory, as surpassing the merit set by the original is significantly challenging for the remakes.

Earlier, it was reported that Student Of The Year 2 debutante Tara Sutaria will play opposite Shahid Kapoor in the Hindi remake of the Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy. The latest reports suggest that the actress has walked out of the project. Tara was signed for the Hindi remake, which was touted to be her second film after SOTY 2. However, SOTY 2 was delayed by six months which further led things to change. It was earlier scheduled to release in November 2018.

But the release of SOTY 2 further got delayed and was slated for May 2019 release, which mean that Arjun Reddy remake would have to release not before June-July 2019.

Speaking about Tara Sutaria's exit from the Arjun Reddy remake, a source close to the development informed to a leading daily, "Eventually, the makers of the film and Tara's managers amicably decided to part ways because of the delay caused. It is for this reason that the makers of the Arjun Reddy remake decided to let go of Tara and look for another actress. They have finalised a couple of options and will be announcing the name in the next few days."

Meanwhile, the makers of Arjun Reddy remake are hunting for the new leading lady to star opposite Shahid Kapoor.
