Neha Dhupia who welcomed her daughter Mehr and is nursing her from the past eight months has started a new campaign to bring awareness about breastfeeding, her campaign is named #FreedomtoFeed. The actor recently revealed how she once had to go behind a tree to feed her daughter, Mehr.

Talking about the same to a leading daily she said, "Once when we were on an outdoor shoot, I had to go behind a tree to feed Mehr. The facility of nursing rooms should be made mandatory in public spaces. Often, mums quit breastfeeding soon after giving birth because they have to go to work. I would feed Mehr on set and fortunately, everyone around was so understanding." And though it has been only two days since her campaign kick-started, the actor revealed that she has received tons of messages on social media and how many moms are so thankful that she has brought this up.

She further revealed that her next step is to reach out to the various dads and get their perspective on the same. She also revealed that there needs to be a change in the mindset of the people and make women feel fee to feed when they want and how they want.

Neha during the breastfeeding week took to her social media and shared a video of herself feeding her daughter Mehr but didn't reveal her baby's face. The video showcased the birth date of Mehr ‘18-11-18' which was written on a board and the video also showed Neha kissing, cuddling, feeding her daughter and putting her to bed.

Neha further revealed how she doesn't understand why there is so much embarrassment about mother's breastfeeding their children in public or why mothers need to be apologetic about it. Neha revealed another incident where she breastfed Mehr in the plane's toilet and how she had announced to her co-passengers that she would be using the washroom for 15 minutes. She recalled how she sat there wishing that the seat-belt sign does not go on till her baby was fed.
