The release of Netflix's Sacred Games starring Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte has garnered accolades for its gripping plotline and realistic performances. However, in just five days of its release, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and the makers of the show have landed in legal trouble.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui and the makers of India's first Netflix show Sacred Games slipped into a political mess after a congressman from West Bengal registered a complaint against them for insulting late Congress Prime Minister, Rajiv Gandhi.
The complainant stated the letter that the Nawazuddin's character in the show has insulted late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi by calling him fattu (which is mentioned in the subtitle as pu***) Moreover, he claims that Rajiv Gandhi's image has been ruined in the show by showing wrong facts during his reign.

The issue started surfacing when the episode of Brahmahatya showcased Nawazuddin's character discussing about the triple talaq case and ridiculing Rajiv Gandhi for creating a political mess with the case.

However, the makers of Sacred Games, Vikramaditya Motwane and Anurag Kashyap along with the actors haven't yet responded to the complaint. Sacred Games is an adaptation of Vikram Chandra's novel of the same title.

Meanwhile, Nawazuddin Siddiqui has been roped in to play the cricket coach in Ranbir Kapoor starrer 83 which is a biopic based on Kapil Dev and India's legendary win at the cricket world cup in 1983. Moreover, the actor will also be seen in a wedding comedy Motichoor Chaknachoor which also stars Athiya Shetty in the lead role.
