As #MeToo crisis has hit Bollywood to the core, many prominent names have been unveiled by the victims of sexual harassment. The latest to come under the scanner is Sairat director Nagraj Manjule whose biopic on the life of the football coach Vijay Barse was supposedly to star Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role.

Earlier, the project was stalled by the original producers; however, the latest buzz suggests that the new producer Bhushan Kumar's T-Series have stalled the project once again.

Informing about the same, a source close to the development revealed to a leading daily, "Manjule was accused of cruelty by his estranged wife. It was a big case. Bhushan Kumar, who has himself been called out for sexual harassment, doesn't want to work with tainted directors. He has already given marching orders to harassment-accused Subhash Kapoor, who was to direct the biopic on his father Gulshan Kumar. Now Nagraj Manjule too may be relieved of his duties."

Apparently, Amitabh Bachchan too has expressed his disinterest in working with Bhushan Kumar after his name was anonymously pulled out in #MeToo row.

Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan's latest outing Thugs Of Hindostan tanked at the box office and garnered poor reviews from the critics as well as the audience. Although, his performance was praised, it didn't add much to the entertainment galore of the film, which claimed to be a magnum opus of sorts. Besides Amitabh Bachchan, Thugs Of Hindostan, helmed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, also starred Aamir Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles.
