Translating a real life character on the reel is significantly challenging as it demands the actor to dive deep into the skin of the character to portray it convincingly on the screen. However, retaining the essence of the same challenges the actor to do the justice to the character.

Earlier, it was reported that John Abraham will be playing the DCP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, who has won 9 Gallantry awards for his brave contribution in a real encounter which has been translated in Nikhil Advani's Batla House.

As per the recent reports, Love Sonia and Super 30 actress Mrunal Thakur has been roped in to play the wife of John Abraham in Batla House. Her character in the film is a representation of the journalist Shobhna Yadav.

Commenting about the same, Nikhil said to a leading tabloid, "Sanjeev Kumar Yadav's relationship with his wife Shobhna, a well-known news anchor in a Hindi news channel, is a significant part of the story so correct casting for this role was important. We were looking for someone who didn't have a set image but at the same time was talented. Mrunal fit the bill. We start shooting from October 20, she joins us from November 1."

Speaking about the preparation for the role, Mrunal said, "I am very excited to be directed by Nikkhil too. I've already started prepping up to play a news anchor convincingly, observing their body language and behaviour in person and on news clips. I'll be meeting a few anchors after I return, and since my uncle is a cop, it's easier to relate to the story."

As the producer of Super 30 Vikas Bahl is embroiled in the #MeToo controversy, a team mate had earlier passed a lewd comment which was objected by Mrunal. Recalling the same, she said, "I told Vikas about it and that I don't appreciate such behaviour. I told him I didn't want to see that person's face again and Vikas made it a point to keep him away from me. My relationship with everyone on the Super 30 set was very professional. Having said that, I believe that if anyone has done anything wrong, they deserve to be punished."

As she heaped praises over her co star John Abraham, Mrunal said, "He's a cool dude and very down-to-earth. We've done a couple of script reading sessions together."
