One of the most loved jodi's of the big screen; Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, are all set to reunite for Ali Abbas Zaffar's Bharat, and the anticipation among their fans is palpable!

However; the film has been making a lot of buzz due to the impromptu exit of Priyanka Chopra Jonas, which was the reason why Katrina Kaif was bought on board the film. While many have been speculating this move as a last minute resort of the makers owing to the relationship that Salman and Katrina share with each other; the ZERO actress has a different story to share.

In a recent interview; Katrina revealed," Ali and I are good friends, but when it comes to work, we are completely honest with each other. I read the script from start to finish in three hours and immediately called him to tell him that I loved it. I realised there was an opportunity of going the extra mile with this character. So, it had nothing to do with my friendship with Salman or Ali. In fact, Salman did not even call me after I signed the film. We met directly on the set."

The camaraderie that the two actors share is no secret; and it is this very chemistry of the duo that translates to the silver screen too! Speaking of which; Kaif says," We share a comfort level, which has developed over the years. He loves to entertain the audience. He is a simple person in real life, and he approaches his films the way he approaches life."

Though her last outing; Anand L Rai's ZERO, also featuring Shahrukh Khan and Anushka Sharma, tanked miserably at the box office, Katrina won glowing praises for her role in the film. It would not be worng to say that her role as a troubled actress in ZERO has changed the audiances perception of the actress as an artiste.

Giving credit to the filmmaker; Katrina said," Right now, all my energy is focused towards work, and when such appreciation comes your way, it feels good. The credit goes to Aanand sir [Aanand L Rai, filmmaker] who told me to trust him and helped me overcome my fears."
