Katrina Kaif's Bharat which turned out to be the biggest hits of 2019, so far, she is seen enjoying a career-high. But her personal life still continues to be scrutinised. And though it's been three years she and Ranbir Kapoor broke-up, she still finds herself answering questions about her former flame. Katrina who has always maintained a dignified stance about her breakup, she recently opened up about how if given a choice she would have never spoken about her relationship with the media.

She said, "If I had my way, I would have never spoken about my relationship. I chose to talk about it because the media was interested in it. I couldn't have dodged the bullet every time. I would have sounded rude if I did that. So, the best thing was to share the bare minimum I wanted to and be frank enough to accept the reality. We [Kapoor and her] still have respect for each other, and that will not change."

Talking about her breakup, Katrina revealed that it was the hardest phases in her life, but it helped her evolve as a person. She revealed how when she was going through a breakup, even one of her sister was in the same phase. But she realised that since her life was in the open, her ego was hurt too. But by the end of the day, she realised how both felt the same pain. She revealed that her friends were a strong source of support and now she has no regrets as she has emerged a lot more mature.

At an award function, this year Katrina and Ranbir were both seen greeting each other respectfully and even congratulated each other over their success. On the work front, Katrina is currently filming for Rohit Shetty's Sooryavanshi opposite Akshay Kumar. Sooryavanshi is going to be the latest addition to Rohit's cop universe after Simmba and Singham. The film also stars Sikander Kher, Vivan Bhatena, Neena Gupta in important roles and slated for release on March 27, 2020.
