Bollywood celebrities' turning into small screen stars is a quite common phenomenon. Whether it's hosting a reality show or judging a reality show or working in a daily soap, Bollywood stars seem to have been doing it all.

Recently, Kareena Kapoor Khan, whose latest release Veere Di Wedding won accolades from the audience and critics alike, was asked about the possibility of her working on a small screen, to which the actress replied to a leading daily, "I'm not averse to taking up something on the small screen, but it can't be a daily soap for sure."

Kareena was further asked if she would follow the footsteps of her husband Saif Ali Khan who made his debut with web series Sacred Games, she replied, "I'm open to any kind of medium. But again, it has to be something really different and special for me to say yes to it. Saif has done an incredible job in Sacred Games. If I get something out of the box and extraordinary, then why not? It's all about a good, tight script and some shows on the digital space have outstanding writing."

Additionally, Kareena maintained that she is at that stage of her career where she is no longer required to prove herself for her craft.

"I'm a practical person who knows exactly what she should be doing. I don't think I need to prove myself as an actress. Thankfully, now people know how I am as a performer. Today, when I read a script, I see if there's something special for me to do. I only want to play great characters," Kareena said.

Kareena Kapoor Khan last featured in Veere Di wedding which collected Rs 100 crore at the box office.
