Karan Johar becomes first Indian filmmaker to have a wax statue at Madame Tussauds Singapore

4th of April 2018 will defiantly be etched as a very special day in the life of filmmaker Karan Johar; as the enigmatic personality unveiled his wax statue at the Madame Tussauds, Singapore, becoming the first Indian filmmaker to have this privilege!


KJo has undoubtedly given Bollywood one of its more memorable films and undoubtedly has given India is most loved celebrity talk show, Koffee With Karan! While everyone knows how close Karan is to his mother Hiroo Johar and he is equally passionate about clicking selfies with his ever so famous pout!



Now; what's more is that the filmmaker's statue does absolute justice to his obsession and is made as Karan clicking his own picture! Johar unveiled the statue with his mother; Hiroo Johar today and the duo looked excited as never before! 


Speaking about his achievement; Karan has been quoted," I remember visiting the Madam Tussauds museum with my father when I was all of eight years old. It feels like a childhood dream has been realized. Today, my statue will be a part of this prestigious museum and I am vastly excited and honoured!"


The filmmaker further said," Just the fact that I can bring my babies one day to this museum and they can see their father standing tall amongst so many illustrious and luminous personalities is the most emotional feeling for me. Waxing eloquent is something I have attempted to do for many years now, but being waxed is an altogether different high."


That's not it guys! Karan has also launched an ‘ultimate film star' experience; a 2,500 square meters long zone celebrating Indian cinema. The stretch will utilize interactive technology like AR, Kinect, Hologram and physical special effects giving visitors the chance to dance and act their way into the hall of fame alongside noted Indian celebrities!



Well, kudos to Karan; whose hard work over the years seems to be paying off now!
