Janhvi Kapoor who made her debut in Bollywood alongside Ishaan Khatter in Dhadak will next be seen in the upcoming movie, The Kargil Girl, essaying the role of Flight Lt. Gunjan Saxena. The film tells the story of Flight Lt. Gunjan Saxena, who played an important role in transferring injured soldiers from the war location during the Kargil War. She is not only the first female Indian Air Force combat pilot but also the first female Shaurya Chakra recipient.

And now FINALLY the first look of Janhvi as Flight Lt. Gunjan is out! Janhvi took to her social media and shared her first look from The Kargil Girl. Janhvi in the poster looks confident and full of life and she is seen dressed in a beautiful multi-colored sweater and is all smiles with a paper plane in her hand. In another poster shared by Janhvi, she is dressed in her uniform and surrounded by other male pilots, who are seen cheering her on.



These posters have already started creating a buzz and fans are eagerly looking forward to this much-awaited film. Even Karan Johar shared the poster and tweeted, "She was told ladkiyan pilot nahin banti, but she stood her ground & wanted to fly! Gunjan Saxena - #TheKargilGirl releasing on 13th March 2020."

Pankaj Tripathi is also a part of this film and will be essaying the role of Janhvi Kapoor's father. On being asked about working with Jhanvi, he said, "I am having a lot of fun while shooting for the film. Janhvi is a very sincere and well-behaved actress. She respects me a lot and I too respect her for the sincerity and commitment towards her work." Helmed by Sharan Sharma, the film also features Angad Bedi who will be seen playing the role of Janhvi Kapoor's brother. The film will hit theatres on March 13, 2020.
