First look of Ajay Devgn’s ‘Taanaji-The Unsung Warrior’

Last seen in 'Shivaay' his own directorial venture, Ajay Devgn will be next seen in Rohit Shetty's 'Golmaal Again'- the fourth in the comedy series. But the actor has some more in his kitty and he revealed it just a day ago. Ajay revealed the first look of his historical drama film 'Tanaaji-The Unsung Warrior' late in midnight. Taking to his Twitter handle he captioned the image as, "He fought for his People, his Soil & his King Chhatrapati Shivaji. The unsung warrior of glorious Indian history, Subedar Taanaji Malusare."

The poster shows the Ajay Devgn as Subedar Taanaji Malusare, one of the brave Maratha warrior and a pivotal military leader in Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's army. Taanaji was known for his battle of Sinhagad which was fought against Jai Singh I in the year 1670. Subedar lost his life in the battle and there are many Marathi ballads about this brave warrior. 

In the recent past, there was a buzz that Ajay wants to make a historical drama and even announced that he will make a film on the Battle of Sargarhi. But it was found similar to Karan Johar's film starring Akshay Kumar in the lead. But now his announcement of a film on Taanaji Malusare have given his fans a sweet shock. The film is set for a 2019 release. 

On the work front, Ajay will also be seen in Milan Luthria's 'Baadshaho' which also stars Emraan Hashmi, Ileana D'Cruz, Esha Gupta and Vidyut Jammwal in the lead.
