Rohit Shetty and Akshay Kumar who announced that their film Sooryavanshi would release on Eid 2020 left fans wondering if there would be a clash between Sooryavanshi and Inshallah. Taking into consideration Salman and Rohit's friendship, fans were aware that they would avert the clash. Recently it was speculated that Sooryavanshi would now release on March 27, 2020, and many of Akshay's fans are angry with the reports of a change in date.

Rohit took to his social media and shared a pic of himself with Salman announced the change in release date. He wrote, "You can Compete with the World but Not with your Family... See you soon Chulbul Pandey!!!" Salman too replied saying,"I always thought of him as my younger brother and today he proves it... #RohitShetty Sooryavanshi releasing on 27th March 2020."

Fans took to social media to express their unhappiness and summarising all the tweets and comments, fans think that they shouldn't have announced the date as Eid previously if they were looking to have it changed. Akshay Kumar took to Twitter to put an end to this once and for all and he wrote, "Since the past few days I've noticed certain negative trends being done by people dearest to me...you guys. I can see and understand your angst, all I can do is request you all with folded hands not to start/participate in such trends. I took up Sooryavanshi with a very positive outlook, let's continue making and releasing it in the same way."

Sooryavanshi is also reported to be the most costliest cop film that will be made in the costliest cop film. Akshay will be seen playing the role of DCP Veer Sooryavanshi, Chief of the Anti-Terrorism Squad while Katrina will be seen playing the female lead.
