Badshah who recently made his Bollywood debut with the film Khandaani Shafakhana starring Sonakshi Sinha and Varun Sharma, during the promotion of the film spoke about the discomfort that people have while talking openly about sex. He also spoke about how he would have this conversation when his daughter comes of age eventually.

Badshah who welcomed his daughter in 2017, said, "Can you talk to your parents about sex? I don't. But that is something that we all must do. I have a daughter and I can't wait to have this chat with her, of course at an appropriate age. I want her to know everything. I don't know-how. Probably she will feel awkward 'ke papa ko kya hogaya achanak se' (what happened to papa all of a sudden). I know I have to make it fun."

He also added how he was very fortunate that he had sex education introduced in his school. He said, "I was fortunate enough that I had sex education in my school. I did my schooling in Delhi. Sex is (very) natural. You need to know about the disorders, the importance of practising safe sex, the importance of planning a family. Look at the population of the country. We all need to know about all these things."

Khandaani Shafakhana is a hilarious take on the taboo of sex, as the film tells the story of a woman played by Sonakshi, who is seen running a fertility clinic and face obstacles by men in her town. Badshah will be seen essaying the role of Gabru Ghaatak, a Punjabi Popstar. Khandaani Shafakhana hits theatres today.
