Ayushmann in Dream Girl will be seen playing the role f a girl named Pooja. And as soon as the trailer of the film dropped, there has been unprecedented buzz surrounding the film and ahead of its release. In a recent interview, Ayushmann shared a very interesting fact from his childhood. He stated that back in the 90s, when he was 14, Ayushmann admitted that he spoke to his then girlfriend's father as her female friend. He also revealed how when his girlfriends' father answered the phone he pretended to be her female friend and her father would then hand her the phone. He said, "And we used to talk for hours because her dad thought that she was talking to a girl."

Talking about the film Dream Girl, Ayushmann stated that it is out and out masala film and this is also one of his most commercial films which is very different from others. He said, "The totality of this film is its masala. This is one of most commercial films because I have been known for my realistic performances. But this one is out there. So it has given me the chance to explore that territory of a commercial film. And it's a lot of fun."

Helmed by director Raaj Shaandilyaa, the film also stars Nushrat Bharucha as the female lead. The film also features, Annu Kapoor, Vijay Raaz, Manjot Singh, Nidhi Bisht, Rajesh Sharma, Abhishek Banerjee and Raj Bhansali in vital roles. Dream Girt will be released on September 13.
