Audiences are starting to accept content driven films in India, says Farhan Akhtar

Upcoming film Lucknow Central features some very talented actors in its star cast which includes Farhan Akhtar, Gippy Grewal, Diana Penty, Ronit Roy, Deepak Dobriyal, Rajesh Sharma and Inaamulhaq. The film's story has the backdrop of a jail and is apparently based on true events. Farhan is currently promoting the upcoming film extensively at various promotional events. "Eventually, if the story is not good wherever it is set, the film won't work. If you want to be inspired from something or want to console yourself then the only thing is the age is of content driven films," Farhan said.

The actor-director said that filmmakers in Bollywood are borrowing ideas from foreign industries which is not a good thing. Farhan feels that in this content-driven age, the directors should focus on ideas which are happening in our country itself. The actor will play the character named Kishen Mohan Girhotra in the upcoming film in which he will be seen in the role of an under trial who is wrongly accused of murder charges. The film's trailer and music have receive a thumbs up from the audience as it is generating hype for the film ahead of its release.

The film has been produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures and Emmay Entertainment and Motion Pictures and is scheduled to release in cinemas on 15 September 2017. Ranjit Tiwari has direct the film and Farhan is confident that the movie will strike an emotional chord with the audiences and leave a huge impact on them.
