Amrita Rao is still waiting to collaborate with Shahid Kapoor post 'Vivaah'

Amrita was quoted saying,” Well after Vivah, we should have done more films together but I really do not know why it did not happen. The good thing is that there is still an audience waiting for us to come together and do a film. Like the audience, even I am looking forward to such an occasion to happen."

Amrita Rao made her Bollywood debut back in 2002 with Arya Babar in the film ‘Ab K Baras'. Since then; the actress has come a long way with films like Ishq Vishq, Vivaah, and Main Hoon Naa to name a few.


However; the audiences have always fallen in love with the petite actress and her chemistry with Shahid Kapoor on the screen every time they have come together. 


In a recent interview; Amrita revealed how she is longing to work with Shahid post the humongous success of ‘Vivaah' she is still waiting to collaborate with her former co-star. Amrita was quoted saying," Well after Vivah, we should have done more films together but I really do not know why it did not happen. The good thing is that there is still an audience waiting for us to come together and do a film. Like the audience, even I am looking forward to such an occasion to happen." 


Also talking about her discomfort on doing intimate scenes; the actress says it's a matter of choice for every individual wherein each has to make their own choice.


Rao was further quoted saying," As the cinema is changing, on-screen kissing, love-making scenes are becoming part of the narrative. I am not saying it is wrong, because it is the reflection of how our society has changed and become comfortable with it. But I am uncomfortable performing it on screen. Love-making is so personal to me that if I do it on screen, it is like I am leaving a part of my soul. I cannot do that."


The Vaah!Life Ho Toh Aisi actor said that she would also like to collaborate with Vicky Donor actor Ayushman Khurana as she "enjoys watching him on-screen a lot."


Amrita Rao was seen in ‘Thackray' essaying the role of the wife of Shiv Sena supremo Balasaheb Thackray, Meenatai.
