Filmmakers are rooting for fresh faces that are recognized for their characters and engage audience with their ability to mould themselves in disparate characters. However, the industry being under the dominion of superstars, real actors are often weeded out in the race. With many actors struggling to bag meaty roles, some bite for the essence of the character than its importance in the film, which leaves a strong impact on the audience than the weightage of the lead roles.

Last seen in Race 3, Saqib Saleem has bagged a role of a gangster in his next which is touted to release on the digital platform. The actor has to undergo major physical transformation for the role. Contradictory to his Race 3 character which saw him in beefed up avatar, Saqib Saleem will have to lose out his weight for the new project.

The actor will have to look like a 20 year old in the movie, for which he is following a new diet and exercise regimen to bring out the desired look.

Informing about the same, a source revealed to a leading daily, "Saqib has already begun his prep by following a particular diet and a new workout regime as he has to look younger for his acting on the digital platform."

Further details of the movie are kept under wrap. The makers and the actor will hopefully make an official announcement on the same soon.

Meanwhile, Saqib Saleem had earlier mentioned that Race 3 will change the route of his career. About the same, he had said to a leading tabloid, "Main second gear mein gaadi chalaake thak gaya hoon. Jab tak aap gaadi ko chauthe ya paanchve gear mein nahi dalte, toh baat nahi banti. So, I would want Race 3 to change the gears in my career. Things happen overnight for some people, not everyone. The goal in my life is to grow and become better than before. I hope the way people perceive me changes after this film. I want the whole country to love me and I have no qualms in admitting it."
