Family oriented films have driven the masses with the significance of culture, traditions and bonding. Indian films replicate the same to reconnect the audience with the elements of family culture. After Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Sooraj Barjatya who is symbolic for family oriented films in India is all set to bring another family plot on the big screen. Rajshri Productions announced their next titled Hum Chaar which is touted to redefine the word ‘family'.

About the same, director Abhishek Dixit said to a leading tabloid, "It has been a great experience being a part of the Rajshri family and making this film which will redefine the word ‘family'. In this golden age of content-driven cinema we have tried our best to come up with a story which is relatable to everyone who shares a close bond with friends."

Although, the writer-director didn't divulge any details of the casting of the movie, he revealed that the film is currently in the post production stage. "We shot the film in March-April this year in Uttar Pradesh. The story is about four friends for which we have cast newcomers. It's slated to be released in the first quarter of 2019," Dixit said.

Commemorating the 58th production of Rajshri Productions, a proud Sooraj Barjatya welcomed the film by stating, "Hum Chaar is based on friendship and in line with our banner's philosophy of ‘family first'. The film explores the idea that in a world where families are nuclear and joint families are rarely seen, friends become family too."

The film was introduced in a video with the sequences from the banner's previous films. Neil Nitin Mukesh, who was a part of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, too involved himself in the celebrations and stated, "Celebrating the Rajshri legacy, 71 years of entertainment, values and family. This year, time to add friends in family."
