Actress Kangana Ranaut has been on a promotion spree for her upcoming period drama ‘Manikarnika: Queen of Jhansi'. The film; that depicts the valor of the queen of Jhansi Rani Laxmibai, also marks the debut of the ‘Fashion' actor as a director. The actress stepped in the shoes of the director after Krish left the movie midway to direct another movie.

In a recent press interaction during the promotion of Manikarnika; Kangana was asked if she would like to collaborate with Bollywood's bhaijaan Salman Khan, who is also working on a period film ‘Bharat' alongside Katrina Kaif.

Responding to the same; Ranaut said," Salman is a friend. If there's ever an opportunity for me to work with him as an actor or as a director, I would definitely like to do it."

Well, we would like to bring to your notice that this statement comes from Kangana a year after she declined the megastar's film ‘Sultan' claiming that the role offered to her was not meaty enough.

Talking about the same; Kangana said," Coming from a double role space and doing so much more in my earlier films, I didn't want to demote myself to something which wasn't offering me so much. That's why I didn't do it." The part was eventually essayed by Anushka Sharma who garnered great appreciation for her part.

Well, we wonder what has bought about the chance of stance in Kangana's approach. Whether Salman wants to do a film with the actress or not is something that only the Dabangg actor can clarify. But if the two stars do come together it certainly will be a treat for moviegoers.

Manikarnika is all set to hit the theaters on the 25th of January and will feature Ankita Lokhande, Atul Kulkarni and Danny Denzongpa among others.
