It has been six years that Jiah Khan passed away as she took her own life on June 3, 2013, by hanging herself from a ceiling fan in her house in Mumbai. It was speculated that the actress committed suicide after she allegedly fought with her then-boyfriend and actor Sooraj Pancholi. And five years after her death, the case is not yet settled as Sooraj was charged with abetment to suicide on January 31, 2018.

It is now reported that a popular British television broadcaster seems to be interested in making a three-part documentary series based on Jiah's death. It is also speculated that the team is already in Mumbai and have also begun their work on the documentary. One of the films co-ordinators reportedly told a leading daily, "It's too early for us to say anything about the documentary."

Talking about Jiah Khan, she was born in the US and was raised in London. She made her debut in Bollywood opposite Amitabh Bachchan in Ram Gopal Verma's Nishabd. She was also featured in two hit films Ghajini and Housefull. She committed suicide at the age of 25 and soon her then-boyfriend Sooraj was arrested on June 10, 2013, but was soon granted bail on July 2. And after a petition was filed by Jiah's mother Rabia, in July 2014, the case was transferred to the CBI.

But then Jiah's mother Rabia after the transfer of the case claimed that the investigation agency refused to charge Pancholi with murder charges. As Rabia pressed for some serious charge of murder under Section 302 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) against Pancholi. But the agency has only charged Pancholi with abetment to suicide.
