Shruti Haasan has been a composer and singer even before she made her debut with acting. She made her singing debut in her father Kamal Haasan's movie Thevar Magan (1992) at the age of six. The music was composed by Illaiyaraja. She also sang a duet for Chachi 420 along with her father. The actress has already composed and sung a song for Hollywood venture Hisss starring Mallika Sherawat and later sung a song for Arjun Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha starrer Tevar. The actress has now taken her singing profession a way bit ahead and she has now collaborated with popular British Alt Rock Band called Dinosaur Pile. Shruti will now sing and co-write some tracks with them. Sources close to Shruti reveal that "Shruti has already visited London a couple of times and has been meeting and jamming with Dinosaur Pile band members lead singer and guitarist Matt Bigland, drummer Mike Sheils and bassist Jim Cratchley. At the moment Shruti is busy with for two South Indian films, including the pre-production for her tri-lingual film Sabash Naidu, where she'll be seen sharing screen space with her father, and Tigmanshu Dhulia's next Yaara next. After her recent Women's Day special association with Ehsaan and Loy (of Shankar Ehsaan and Loy fame), this is the next big musical step she's all set for. While Shruti was unreachable for comment, her spokesperson confirmed her collaboration with Dinosaur Pile-Up indicating that it's going to be an album to watch out for without delving into any more details.
