Elections of the ten major civic bodies, including the cash-rich Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), are underway in Maharashtra. While celebs like Rekha, Anushka Sharma, Ranveer Singh and many others marked their presence at the voting booths, there were other celebrities who were just too busy to vote.

On one hand, where we see vast support to BMC during the election by Bollywood, The absence of some big names has also put a dent to the same. The list is big and has names like Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar and Hrithik Roshan in it. Here is the entire list of big celebrities who missed BMC elections of 2017.

Aamir Khan and Hrithik Roshan

The Satyamev Jayate actor who is known for his remarks on intolerance, social awareness, and corruption was nowhere to be seen. On the other hand, Kaabil actor Hrithik Roshan who as Krrish has told us many times to be responsible and true to our civic duties was also not present. Both the actors are said to be out of Mumbai.

Anupam Kher

Anupam Kher who has been very vocal about issues like Kashmiri Pandits and demonetization found himself in Capetown when it really mattered.

Rishi Kapoor

While Anupam was in Capetown, the most vocal and bindass Kapoor, Mr. Rishi Kapoor is in Honk Kong. Well, it seems that tweeting about something from anywhere is easier than being present for something as important as elections.

Saif Ali Khan And Kangana Ranaut

It is just ironic to see these two promoting a movie which is based on a time when our country was fighting for freedom and democracy and not being present for something as important as elections for our Democracy.

Akshay Kumar

Khiladi Kumar has done a great job when it comes to fight against crime, corruption in his movies but it seems in real life Jolly failed to impress his fans for the first time. The actor is in Bhopal shooting for his upcoming movie.

Priyanka Chopra

Well, counting PC in this list was a bit unfair as she is just too busy with her failing TV series Quantico and promoting Baywatch in USA.

Ajay Devgn and Emraan Hashmi

The Once upon a time Mumbai duo seems to have forgotten their love for Mumbai which they showed in this Ekta Kapoor movie as both of them decided to continue shooting for Baadshaho in Jaipur.

Sanjay Dutt

Sanju Baba is just too busy with his biopic directed by Raju Hirani and Bhoomi's shooting in Agra.

Paresh Rawal and Varun Dhawan

This must be the funniest case. An OMG moment with the OMG actor Paresh Rawal when he went to vote but did not find himself in the voting list altogether. Same case happened with Varun Dhawan as Badri Ji went to St. Joseph to vote but found himself nowhere in the list. Oops!

Well, that was just unfortunate. Javed Akhtar, Shabana Azmi, Arjun Kapoor and Dia mirza were among the other celebs who couldn't make their vote count at BMC elections 2017.
