The legendary singer Asha Bhosle is all set to do a Farewell UK tour soon. She confessed that most of the songs these days don't have good lyrics, and so are less appealing.

Asha Bhosle, the legendary singer of Bollywood announced her farewell UK tour, 2016 today. The singer who has sung more than 10,000 songs spanning six decades in the industry revealed that her favorite song is the one she sang 'Lag ja Gale' from Woh Kaun thi sung by her sister Lata Mangeshkar. She revealed that her father was her inspiration in life and said that she enjoyed the most of her career in the 70's and 80's. The singer says that she has always been a rebel in life and her mother called her a rebel. "My mother used to call me bandakhor bandya (naughty child). I was always different from the lot in my family. I used to have a short haircut from a man in Nana Chowk. My parents reprimanded me for that as my other sisters had very long hair. I always wanted short hair as I watched english films." Asha Bhosle also revealed that she found the classical genre the most challenging, especially songs of her father, music director R.D.Burman and Madan Mohan's songs. However, she ruled that most of the songs these days don't have good lyrics. "Most of them do not have good lyrics and songs are always remembered for their lyrics". From the current lot of singers she says she likes Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Javed Ali. Asha Bhosle Farewell Tour UK 2016 Concert will be held on 17th September 2016 at the Genting Arena, Birmingham and 18th September 2016 at the SSE Arena, Wembley.
