People had their eyes locked to the screen when the Oscar nomination list was announced. From best actors and actresses to best movies, the Academy Award nominations made fans beam with joy. Period. End of Sentence, a film that is set in India is about taboos around menstruation and it has made it to the top five nominees of the Documentary Short Subject category at the Oscars. The film is directed by award-winning director Rayka Zehtabchi while it is also executive produced by Guneet Monga and is co-produced by Monga's Sikhya Entertainment which also backed films like 'The Lunchbox" and "Masaan."

The film is about the women in India that fight against the deeply rooted stigma surrounding menstruation and also the dwells on the work of Arunachalam Muruganathan. The film is a creation of The Pad Project, which is an organisation established by the students at the Oakwood School in Los Angeles and their teacher, Melissa Berton. The film also features the real PadMan.

Monga who was super excited about making the cut told IANS over the phone, "We made it... It is beyond everything we thought." She also shared the news on Twitter saying, "We all made it happen! @RAYning @melissaberton @lisataback @StaceySher @Garrettschiff @douglasblush @mesopystic @samdavisdp and all the young girls who saw this dream from Oakwood school !! This is so EPIC !!."

It's a 26-minute short film that features girls and women of north India from Hapur and also shares their experience after pad machine gets installed in their village.
