Bollywood celebs mourn the burning of Notre Dame Cathedral

A major fire destroyed a part of the UNESCO World Heritage landmark building of Paris- the Notre Dame Cathedral and Bollywood celebs have started sharing their memories about the same.

While we Indians were enjoying our deep sleep, Paris was in a state of shock when they heard the news of Notre Dame Cathedral being devastated by fire. The 850-year old cathedral is of historical and religious importance.


According to the reports the roof and the spire of the historical monument have been damaged but the firefighters were successful in saving the Gothic facade and two landmark towers from being destroyed.


A major part of the UNESCO World Heritage landmark building is destroyed in the catastrophic fire. 'We have been dealt a knockout blow,' Paris Archbishop Michel Aupetit was quoted saying by a leading daily.


Bollywood celebs too mourned the burning of the Cathedral and some even shared their memories on various platforms.

While the wooden roof structure got destroyed in the fire, the stone carved structure is still intact. French President Emmanuel Macron tweeted about the same and even said that he is sad to see this part of France burn.
