There was a time in Bollywood when actors were desperate and would do anything to work in a Hollywood movie. But in the last decade we have seen a number of B-Town actors working in Hollywood and some of them have even established a name of themselves.

However, there have been a number of occasions when our desi stars have turned down roles in Hollywood. While some stars regret their choices while some still believe that they made the right decision and stand by it. So here are 9 Bollywood actors who turned down major Hollywood roles -

Shah Rukh Khan In Slumdog Millionaire - Bollywood's Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan was offered a chance to make his Hollywood debut with ‘Slumdog Millionaire' which was directed by Danny Boyle. King Khan was offered Anil Kapoor's character in the film, but the actor didn't find the character suited for his personality and turned down the role.

Deepika Padukone In Fast & Furious 7 - The 'Piku' actress was offered a big opportunity to star in one of Hollywood's most famous franchises, Fast & Furious. She was offered a part in the 7 installment of the franchise but Deepika turned down the role as she was already commited to filmmaker Farah Khan's 'Happy New Year'.

Akshay Kumar With Dwayne Johnson In Untitled Project - The Khiladi of Bollywood was offered alongside 'The Rock' himself a.k.a Dwayne Johnson. Sadly, the actor turned the role down. In an interview Aki explained, "I am happy and satisfied with the Bollywood offers. Here, I have a huge fan group to entertain and I am not going to fit in to Hollywood so I keep refusing to do projects there."

Irrfan was offered to play an important role in the Sci-fi film ‘Interstellar', but the role required him to camp and stay in US for 4-5 months. The actor already had films like ‘The Lunchbox' and ‘D-Day' to finish so humbly said no to the opportunity. The role ultimately went to Matt Damon.
