Saif Ali Khan, Kurbaan - Karan Johar completely shifted his gear when he penned this story which looks at the other side of Islamic fundamentalism and puts the post 9/11 tumult in perspective. Saif Ali Khan played the role of a suave, sophisticated Ehsaan Khan who manages to fool Kareena's character to enter the USA and is hell-bent on bomb America for its excesses against Muslims, the world over.

Jim Sarbh, Neerja - Based on the real-life incident when a group of terrorists hijacked Pan Am flight 73 in 1986, the movie how flight attendant Neerja Bhanot does all she can to stall the terrorists from attacking the passengers on board. It was Jim Sarbh's debut movie where he played the role of the hot-headed terrorist Khaleel and people loved to hate the actor for his brilliant portrayal!
