It was recently announced that rapper Baadshah is all set to make his acting debut in a film, which also stars Sonakshi Sinha, Varun Sharma, and Annu Kapoor. The rapper has confessed that he is a bit nervous but gives his best!

Well, it's natural that Baadshah is feeling this way as the past record of singers trying their hand in acting did not turn out so well. Putting it mildly, the big bang all of them were hoping for turned out to be a major floppy fizz. So here are 7 Bollywood singers who tried acting but failed -

Sonu Nigam - Sonu Nigam started out as a child actor - playing bit roles in Bollywood movies in the early 80s. However, everything was forgotten - and he completely started out afresh when he began singing some of the most melodious tunes in the late 90s and thereafter. And then came 'Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani' in 2002. The less we say about this movie, the better!

Lucky Ali - Lucky Ali will always be known for his amazing music albums with his soulful voice bringing each and every song to life. The singer stepped into Bollywood as an actor in 2002 with 'Sur' and 'Kaante'. Both the movies were average and the next couple of films he starred in were absolute nonentities.

Abhijeet Sawant - The first Indian Idol winner, Abhijeet Sawant became a household name in 2005. But it was short-lived fame for him - and he was probably clutching at straws when he starred as the lead in the forgettable 2008 film 'Lottery'.

Mika Singh - Mika Singh is known as a successful singer but he also tried his hand in acting with Punjabi film called 'Mitti' in 2010 and a typical flop Bollywood comedy caper with a seemingly-funny-but-so-irritating-cast called 'Loot'. Now Mika is solely concentrating on his music career!

Aditya Narayan - Aditya Narayan followed in his father's footsteps and became a singer. Then Vikram Bhatt signed him up for his 2010 horror flick 'Shaapit based on Aditya's good looks and boyish charm. Even though he managed to a Best Male Debut nomination at the Zee Cine Awards, his effect on the audiences and the rest of the Bollywood fraternity was as forgetful as the movie itself.

Himesh Reshammiya - Himesh Reshammiya does not seem to realize that all his popularity stems from his nasal singing skills - and not his acting performance. He lost his hats, grew hair, straightened it, lost some weight and continued to make films through it all. From 'Aap Kaa Surroor - The Real Luv Story' to 'The Xpose', the man continued to hammer on until maybe he lost all his money!

Yo Yo Honey Singh - Yo Yo Honey Singh - played a supposedly Pran-like negative role in the movie 'The Xpose'nd making his fans feel embarrassed on his behalf. As all of you might already have guessed after watching the trailer, the movie was a super flop and ended Honey Singh's acting career.
