So here are 6 roles of Vikrant Massey which proves he is the unconventional hero that Bollywood deserves-

Lootera - Massey made his Bollywood debut in Vikramaditya Motwane's Lootera along with Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha and impressed everyone with his impactful performance. The actor played the character of Dev who is a friend and accomplice to Ranveer's character. Even with his limited screen time, Massey managed to make us laugh and later even cry as his character exits in the film.

Dil Dhadakne Do - Though the Zoya Akhtar movie was a multi-starrer with actors like PC, Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma, and Farhan Akhtar, Massey managed to give a brilliant performance in brief yet effective role. Aamir Khan, who is the narrator in the movie was so impressed with Massey that he called him up in the middle of the night and congratulated him on his performance.

A Death In A Gunj - One of the most celebrated performance has to be Shutu from Konkana Sen's directorial debut, A Death In A Gunj. Vikrant Massey brought to screen the complexities of his character with such finesse, that one probably can't imagine any other actor pulling off a better Shutu. He evoked a gamut of emotions with his honest act and managed to shine amid a stellar star cast including the likes of Kalki Koechlin, Ranvir Shorey, Om Puri, and Tanuja.

Mirzapur - One of the best web series of 2019, Mirzapur proved that Massey is indeed a versatile actor. As Bablu Pandit, Vikrant not only aced his accent but also showed that he can be a suitable choice in a story that deals with guns and goons without having to bulk up or flaunt his abs.

Lipstick Under My Burkha - While most of the actors could have been apprehensive of taking up a film that boasted of being 'female-oriented', Massey took over and did justice to his role. Talking about his role in a women-centric film, Massey in an interview said, "It is a women-centric film; it talks about the regressive society. I am representing the majoritarian point of view. I took inspiration from my surroundings. There is a certain level of brashness and crudeness in a patriarchal society that I have seen and felt, so representing that wasn't difficult for me. But yes, to be going against my own ideologies was challenging. That is the beauty of being an actor."

Made In Heaven - Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti once again proved they are the masters of storytelling with their latest show Made In Heaven which follows the story of two wedding planners in Delhi. Through their scheming, lying, and, at times, brave and selfless ways, they help join the rich and affluent South Delhi types and their princesses, in holy matrimony. Although Vikrant appears in the final episode, the actor yet again makes his presence felt with his brief yet powerful performance.
