A Stickler For The Rules - Vicky Kaushal was born in a chawl in Malad and had a road mapped out for himself which was to "clear exams, pursue engineering and get a job". Soon after his graduation, Vicky followed his inner calling and started doing the rounds of auditions and look tests. Despite getting rejected countless times, Vicky never gave up and stuck to the basic rules, "knock doors, meet people and prove my worth as an actor."

Fifty Shades Of Vicky - After Masan, Kaushal got eight offers in the role of a UP boy. Instead of jumping at offers, the acted waited patiently for months and then dove headlong into the role of a corrupt and violent cokehead cop in Anurag Kashyap's psychological thriller Raman Raghav 2.0. What followed was a range of films like Love Per Square Feet, Raazi, Sanju where Vicky showcased formidable versatility in his craft as well as the films he chose.

The Kashyap Factor - Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has had a minor if not a major role to play in Kaushal's film graph. Vicky has worked as an AD in Kashyap's masterclass GOW and according to Anurag himself, Vicky was the hardest worker on sets. Vicky's debut movie Masan was also produced by Anurag and the actor also had a bit role in Bombay Velvet. Getting trained under one of the most influencing directors of Indian Cinema has definitely rubbed off on Vicky in his choice of work and his craft.

No Looking Back - It won't be wrong to say that Vicky Kaushal like clay had managed to mold himself beautifully into any role he is given. In Masan, the character of Shaalu played by Shweta Tripathi tells Vicky Kaushal's, "There is an honesty in you that is rare." The same can be said for Vicky who essays every role with the same earnestness and delivers memorable roles which have garnered him fans within the industry as well as the audience.
