Samurai Jack Season 5 Trailer: A grittier and darker Jack is back

Samurai Jack

"It’s been 50 years since we saw Samurai Jack and time has not been kind to him. Aku has destroyed every time portal and Jack has stopped aging, a side effect of time travel. It seems he is cursed to just roam the land for all eternity."

This is the official synopsis of the trailer of the Samurai Jack season 5 and this synopsis is enough to tell you that the persistent and never give up the attitude of Jack is gone and he has started questioning his own existence. His battle with Akku ended 50 years ago but the after effects of Akku's terror are still haunting the future, past and the present. The time travel has made Jack immortal and he doesn't know what to do with his life anymore. The evil is too big and his existence has no effect on that.

Samurai Jack, the mythical tale of a time-traveling warrior from legendary animator and director Genndy Tartakovsky. After 16 years of wait, the veteran is back for a fifth and final season on March 11th. According to early interviews with Tartakovsky and details from Adult Swim, this final chapter takes place 50 years after the events of season four. Jack is stuck in the techno-dystopia brought on by the demon Aku, and he’s seemingly lost all hope of traveling back to the past.

And the trailer tells us the same story. A bearded, stranded, defeated Jack who has no hope for himself but the only hope for this world. The evil powers are growing stronger and they have just one person to oppose who is hiding in the dark where no one can find him. Never mess with a wounded Lion, because when he gets mad, you will have to face his wrath and by the end of the trailer, the wounded lion is awake and the lion is out for blood on last time.
