What will you feel when you see some tiny cute colorful trolls are dancing all over the screen? Funny right? You will smile at least.
This is the trait on which Justin Timberlake's Troll banks on.
Long ago, a village of Trolls, joyful creatures in a rainbow of colors and patterns, was raided by the Bergens, gray giants with bad teeth who subsist on them.
The Trolls escaped and built a new colony far away. Many years later, the Trolls, given to singing, dancing, and group hugging, have lowered their guard, and a group of them is captured by the most malevolent Bergen, Chef voiced by Christine Baranski. The upbeat Troll princess Poppy voiced by Anna Kendrick, with Branch voiced by Justin Timberlake, a glum Troll ever wary of the Bergen, embarks on a rescue mission to the Bergens’ kingdom, where she befriends and gives a beauty makeover to a scullery maid smitten with King Gristle Jr.
We know it sounds a little glummy but trust us when you will see these trolls on this rescue mission you can't stop yourself from laughing. Directed by Mike Mitchell, the songs in the films are originals performed by Ariana Grande and Mr. Timberlake, among others, as well as covers of radio chestnuts lathered in studio gloss.
You can ask what is new in Trolls? Well, the answer is nothing but still the execution and the performances will make your experience in the theater pleasurable.
We give the film 2.5 star rating out of 5.
