The buzz is that Salman Khan's Sultan and Aamir Khan's Dangal both films on wrestling are all set to outdo each other. While both have braced up for their roles, it will be interesting to see who emerges as victorious.
According to the recent buzz, both Salman Khan's Sultan and Aamir Khan's Dangal are set on the same lines. However, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan have clarified that their films are different. Insiders say that there are many similarities in both the films. Both the films have been shot in Haryana. Recently Anushka Sharma's look from the film Sultan was revealed and it is said that her character Aarfa is completely inspired by wrestler Geeta Phogat who is the daughter of wrestler Mahavir Phogat. But apart from this similarity and the wrestling bouts, there are no other similarities in these two movies. Aamir Khan is playing the role of Mahavir Phogat and his film Dangal is a Biopic on his struggles and the success of his two daughters. The film is being directed by Nitesh Tiwari. Salman Khan's film Sultan, on the other hand, is a love story and is based on Sultan Ali Khan a wrestler who has problems in his professional and personal life. From a small town wrestler in Haryana, he achieves global fame by winning at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, the 2011 FILA Wrestling World Championships in Istanbul and the 2012 London. The film is being directed by Ali Abbas Zafar Salman Khan's film is all set for an Eid release while Aamir's film is set for a Christmas release. Now the question is how will the films fare at the box office. Will Sultan take over Dangal or vice versa, only time will tell?
