While the whole world was celebrating New Years, at midnight, Bengaluru had it's night of shame. Women were molested, groped, beaten up, all this in the presence of State Police. The moment the news came out, India simply couldn't hold back their rage. From mass protestations to marches, almost everyone is looking for an answer for this horrendous act. And in such a situation, when most of the Bollywood celebrities decided to stay mum, Aamir Khan is probably the first one, who came out in open and spoke about the kind of pitiful state we live in. This is what he said "The incident that took place in Bengaluru was very disappointing. We feel ashamed that such incidents take place in our country. I think it’s the responsibility of everyone along with the administration to see that law and order prevails"
He also gave out his own share of solution for it, which is very much essential we believe too! This is what he said "The law and order mechanism and the judiciary and police should bring the culprit to task at the earliest as it happens in other countries. For example, when such an incident takes place in America, the guilty are not only arrested but they are given punishments as well within two or three months. I think when such a change will take place, things will automatically change" He further went on to add "I think when such examples come to fore that a guilty of such case is given punishments within two-three months, only then the situation will change and people will fear before committing such crimes." The actor concluded.
Sure, we need more influential people like these from Bollywood to come out and speak about such big issues!
