Kay Kay Menon-Akshay Kumar Slams Richa Chadha For Her Galwan Tweet

Richa Chadha has been facing extreme backlash for her "Galwan" tweet. Many actors like Akshay Kumar, Kay Kay Menon, and Nikhil Siddhartha have now slammed Richa for her remark.

Bollywood actress Richa Chadha recently became the target of trolls after the actress shared a tweet on the 2020 Galwan clash. The Fukrey actress reacted to Northern Army Commander Lt General Upendra Dwivedi’s statement that the Indian army is ready to execute orders like taking back POK. Apart from the netizens many Bollywood filmmakers and actors have now slammed Richa for disrespecting the Indian army.

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar recently took to his Twitter as he condemned Richa Chadha’s tweet over the Galwan 2020 clash. Akshay stated that he is “upset” to see such tweets, he tweeted, “Hurts to see this. Nothing ever should make us ungrateful towards our armed forces. Woh hain toh aaj hum hain”.

Apart from Akshay Kumar actor Kay Kay Menon also slammed Richa Chadha over her Galwan tweet, he wrote, “Our brave men& women in uniform, put their life on the line to keep every citizen of our Nation safe &secure! Least we can do is to behold love, respect & gratitude, in our hearts, towards such valour! #JaiHind! वंदे मातरम!!??.”

Karthikeya 2 actor Nikhil Siddhartha also addressed Richa Chadha’s tweet and wrote on Twitter, “20 Brave Indian soldiers gave up their lives at Galwan protecting our country and us. Reading about their Ultimate Sacrifice still brings tears to our eyes. FORGET POLITICS. Our Army and the Armed forces should always be respected and never insulted.@RichaChadha plz #IndiaFirst.”

For the unversed, Richa Chadha has now deleted her Galwan tweet, she also apologized to her fans and the netizens after posting the tweet. In her apology note, the actress wrote,  “Even though it can never be my intention in the least, if the 3 words which are being dragged into a controversy have offended or hurt anyone, I apologise and also say that it would sadden me if even unintentionally my words have triggered this feeling in my brothers in the fauj (army) of which my own Nanaji has been an illustrious part,” 

She added, “As a Lt. Col, he took a bullet in the leg in the Indo-China war, in 1960s. My Mamaji was a paratrooper. It’s in my blood. A whole family is affected when a son is martyred or even injured while saving the nation which is made up of people like us and I personally know how it feels. It is an emotive issue for me,”
