Huma Qureshi Agrees To Akshay Kumar’s Statement Of Male Actors Avoiding Two Hero Films

Huma Qureshi who is gearing up for Maharani 2 weighs on why male actors avoid two hero films

Akshay Kumar earlier mentioned that it is difficult to make a multi-starrer or even a two-heroes film. The actor made this statement when he appeared on the popular celebrity talk show Koffee with Karan 7. Khiladi Kumar also cited that as a producer he has struggled to cast two actors in a movie. Huma Qureshi who is gearing up for her show Maharani 2 agreed to Akshay’s words.

Huma Qureshi will soon feature in two heroine films namely Pooja Meri Jaan with Mrunal Thakur and Double XL with Sonakshi Sinha. She feels male actors are insecure and fear being outshined by another actor. She said actors have problems in doing two-hero films as they believe in maintaining their impression and image of a macho man. “I think women are far more secure than men in this industry clearly,” Huma told Indian Express

She went on to say, “Heroes are far more insecure as they fear another person will outshine them and they wonder who is going to be a bigger star. Ladkon ko pata nahi aapas mein ek dusre se kya darr lagta hai, (I don’t know why are boys so scared of each other). They have to really figure out their thing. Men want to set up this macho image that ‘oh we don’t care, we are so much macho and whatever alpha’ but clearly they seem to have a problem.”

Akshay Kumar said on KWK7 “there are a lot of actors who won’t do a 2-hero or 3-hero project”. Last month Ek Villain Returns stars John Abraham and Arjun Kapoor opposed Akki’s statement. They have done many multi-starrer films sharing screens with other leading actors. The duo collaborated together for the Villain franchise and apart from this John has appeared in Dishoom with Varun Dhawan and in Dhoom with Abhishek Bachchan. On the other hand, Arjun has shared the screen with Ranveer Singh in Gunday and with Saif Ali Khan in Bhoot Police.

Huma Qureshi is returning as Rani Bharti in the second season of the political drama web show Maharani. Maharani 2 will stream on SonyLiv from August 25, 2022.
