Ethan Hawke’s Unconventional Journey To The Toronto International Film Festival Premier Of “Wildcat” Becomes Talk Of The Town

Hollywood A-lister Ethan Hawke created quite a buzz at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) when he took an unexpected mode of transportation to attend the premiere of his latest film, “Wildcat.” According to reports from People, the renowned actor had to resort to taking a bus to reach the prestigious event.

As he graced the red carpet alongside his daughter, actor Maya Hawke, Ethan Hawke sat down for an interview with People. When asked about the unusual choice of travel, Maya confirmed the unique journey, saying, “He did! Everyone’s talking about it!” She added, “He had to take the bus here ’cause all the flights got canceled,” while Ethan beamed with pride beside her.

Ethan explained his decision, stating, “Three flights canceled, then I was like, ‘I’m not gonna miss this because of some airport’.” He further revealed that he made the impromptu decision to head to the Port Authority and hop on a bus. Importantly, he wasn’t alone on this adventure; his wife and producing partner accompanied him on this unconventional trip.

When asked if anyone on the bus recognized him, Ethan had a humble response, saying, “Man, nobody cares about anybody else on the bus.” He also noted that traveling by bus is an experience where “nobody’s comfortable,” and he reiterated, “nobody cares at all.” Throughout the journey, Ethan kept a low profile, reading a book and hoping for a smooth arrival.

Surprisingly, it wasn’t until they reached customs that Ethan’s celebrity status was noticed. Even then, he took the newfound attention in stride.

The father-daughter duo also took a moment to reflect on their collaboration in “Wildcat.” Maya shared, “The making of the film was unspeakably special and one of the greatest experiences of my life.” Their bond and dedication to their craft shone through, making “Wildcat” not just a film but a truly remarkable family project.
