Blue Beetle Beats Barbie At The Box Office But Fails As DC Movie

DC superhero film, Blue Beetle dethroned Margot Robbie starrer “Barbie” which has been ruling the screens for 4weeks now. Blue Beetle opened to a global start of $43.4 million, with an estimated $25.4 in North America and around $18 million in other markets.

However, even after beating Barbie at box office, Blue Beetle failed to come out as a successful DC superhero film. Reportedly the film had the lowest DC superhero debut of this era. The film failed to pass recent DC films like “Shazam!: Fury of the Gods“, “Birds of Prey” and others.

Meanwhile, Margot Robbie starrer Barbie earned $21.5 million by its fifth week at the box office. The warner bros fantasy-comedy film has now raked $1.27 billion globally becoming one of the highest grossing Warner Bros films.
